Immortal Stoic

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 August 2026

About this policy

Immortal Stoic is a mobile-first daily discipline app for Stoic practice — reflections, trials, campaigns, quotes, cinematic content and a community of members. This policy explains, in plain English, what information the app collects, why, who processes it, how long it is kept, and how you can delete it.

By creating an account or using Immortal Stoic you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Account information and profile data

When you create an account we store your email address and an account identifier. Your profile holds the information you choose to add: display name / username, biography, avatar image, chosen path focus, theme and app preferences.

Usernames are unique and are visible to other members, as is your profile, rank, badges and public activity within the app.

Authentication

Email and password. Authentication is handled by our backend provider. Passwords are stored only as salted cryptographic hashes by that provider — Immortal Stoic never stores or has access to your plaintext password. The app may remember your email address on your own device if you ask it to; it never stores your password.

Google sign-in. If you sign in with Google, Google confirms your identity and shares basic profile information (such as your email address and name) with us. We use it only to create and access your account. Your Google password is never shared with us.

Password resets and verification links. We send one-time links to your email address to reset a password or verify a deletion request.

Your content and progress

Journal / memoir entries. Your reflections are stored so you can read them later. They are private to your account and are not shown to other members.

Missions and progress. Missions you create, their categories, priorities, deadlines, progress and history are stored against your account.

XP, streaks, ranks, achievements and campaigns. We record completions of trials, daily rituals, campaign check-ins and Temple sessions in order to calculate XP, streaks, rank, badges and campaign progress, including Emperor's Mercy grants.

Reactions and saved quotes. Quotes you save and reactions you leave are stored so your library and community activity persist.

Community: messages, Legions, friendships and activity

Direct messages. Messages you send to other members are stored so that both people can read the conversation history, together with timestamps and read state. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted; they can be accessed by us where strictly necessary for security, abuse investigation or legal compliance.

Legions. Legion names, mottos, bios, rules, colours, banners, avatars, membership, roles, invitations and Legion chat messages are stored and visible to the relevant Legion members (and, for public Legion details, to members browsing discovery).

Friendships and bonds. Friend requests, accepted bonds, bond tiers, leaderboard standings, duels and the activity feed ("War Chronicle") are stored and shown to other members as designed.

Uploaded files

Avatar images and other files you upload are stored in our backend file storage. Avatar images are visible to other members. Do not upload anything you are not comfortable sharing.

Subscriptions and payments

Paid memberships (Praetorian and Immortal) and donations are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your payment details directly — Immortal Stoic never receives or stores your full card number.

We store a Stripe customer/subscription reference, your membership tier, subscription status and renewal dates so the app can unlock the right content.

Notifications

With your permission, your browser may show notifications for events such as new messages. Permission is granted by you in your browser or device settings and can be revoked there at any time. We do not use notifications for advertising.

Error logging and technical data

To keep the app working we log technical error information such as error messages, stack traces, the page or action involved, timestamps and, where relevant, the account identifier. Standard server request data (including IP address) may be processed by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention.

Feedback. If you send feedback from the app, we store your message so we can respond and improve the service.

Service providers

We use a small number of processors, each only for the purpose listed:

  • Supabase (via Lovable Cloud) — database, authentication and file storage for all account, content, community and progress data.
  • Lovable and Cloudflare — application hosting, content delivery, and edge serving of the app.
  • Stripe — subscription billing, donations and financial records.
  • Google — optional Google sign-in, and Google Fonts, which serves the app's typefaces to your browser (Google may receive your IP address and request data as part of delivering the fonts).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Optional authorized AI / MCP access

Immortal Stoic offers an optional agent integration (MCP) that lets an AI assistant you choose — for example ChatGPT — read or create your own app data, such as profile details, journal entries, missions, quotes and challenges.

This access is off by default, works only after you explicitly authorize it through a sign-in and consent step, is limited to your own account, and can be revoked by you at any time. When you use it, the data you request is sent to the AI provider you connected, and that provider's own privacy terms apply to what it does with it.

How we use information

  • To create, secure and operate your account and sign you in.
  • To save and display your journal, missions, progress, XP, streaks and badges.
  • To deliver community features: messages, Legions, friendships, feed and Arena.
  • To process memberships, donations and unlock the content your tier includes.
  • To send notifications and transactional emails you have opted into or requested.
  • To diagnose errors, prevent abuse and keep the service safe.
  • To respond to your feedback and support requests.
  • To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored with encryption at rest by our backend provider. Access to your records is enforced at the database level by row-level security policies, so members can only reach the data they are entitled to. Sensitive operations (XP awards, campaign progress, role changes, payments, deletion) run server-side rather than being trusted from the client. Administrative access is limited to what is necessary to operate the service.

No system is perfectly secure. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your device secure.

Data retention

We keep your account information and content for as long as your account exists. Technical error logs and feedback are kept only as long as useful for support, security and service improvement. Financial records are kept for the periods required by tax and accounting law.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account from inside the app (Ego → The Archive → Delete my account) or from our public deletion page at immortal-zen-forge.lovable.app/delete-account.

Deletion runs through our existing deletion system and permanently removes your account and associated personal app data — profile, journal and memoir entries, missions, streaks, XP, achievements, campaign records, friendships and bonds, messages, reactions, saved quotes, uploaded avatar files and your Legion ownership data. Active subscriptions are cancelled. Where you own a Legion that other members still use, ownership passes to a remaining member so their shared history is not destroyed. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

What may be retained after deletion. Financial and transaction records — including Stripe invoices, payments and donation records — may be retained where legally required for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes. Technical error logs and feedback records may be retained in appropriately anonymized form: your email address and account identifiers are removed so those records are no longer linked to you. Content owned by other members, and Legions you do not own, remains with them.

Your privacy rights and controls

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

In the app you can, at any time:

  • Edit or remove your profile details and avatar.
  • Delete individual journal entries, missions and messages you created.
  • Revoke browser notification permission in your browser or device settings.
  • Revoke authorized AI / MCP access.
  • Cancel your membership.
  • Delete your entire account.

To exercise a right that is not available in the app, email us and we will respond within a reasonable time. Immortal Stoic is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country); we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date above will change, and material changes will be communicated in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
